American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an RN for an Intermediate Care (IMC) Telemetry unit. Requires compact or VA RN license and unit specialty experience. Certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIHSS are expected; 1+ year in a unit specialty with 2-3 years preferred.

Responsibilities include direct patient care in IMC, 1:4 ratios, night shifts (19:00-07:00), and possible float to other units. Travel-friendly environment with orientation and training as part of onboarding.

• Minimum 1 year in unit specialty; 2-3 years preferred.
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred.
• Experience in teaching/hospital settings and Trauma Level II preferred.
• DL and SSN documentation required.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct patient care in IMC unit with cardiac telemetry and stepdown patients.
• Maintain 1:4 patient ratio; night shifts 19:00-07:00 (3x12 or 4x12).
• Float to IMC and Med-Surg; travelers float first as needed.
• Charting with Cerner/Oracle Health; CN/OR charting preferred but not required.
• Participate in biweekly orientation and complete training modules annually.
• Adhere to Joint Commission standards; ensure orientation to new units.

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Intermediate Care (IMC) Telemetry position requiring a compact or VA RN license and prior unit specialty experience.

Requirements

• Active compact or VA RN license required in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Candidates with pending certifications will be considered
• Minimum 1 year experience in unit specialty, 2-3 years overall experience preferred
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level II experience preferred
• BSN not required
• Skills in IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, cardiac drip management, and telemetry monitoring
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and oxygen administration
• Experience with neurological conditions such as CVA, seizure disorders, and substance withdrawal preferred
• Experience with cardiovascular care including pacemakers and post cardiac cath management
• Documentation of DL and SSN required for consideration
• Minimum two manager/charge references within the past two years required

Responsibilities

• Work in the Intermediate Care (IMC) unit of a hospital setting
• Cardiac telemetry and stepdown/PCU patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 or 4x12 hours, 19:00-07:00
• Cerner/Oracle Health charting experience preferred but not required
• Float to Intermediate Care and Med-Surg units, with travelers floating first as needed
• No on-call responsibilities mentioned
• Provide direct patient care for cardiac telemetry and intermediate care patients, including cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and emergency response
• Participate in biweekly orientation held on Mondays
• Complete 8-10 hours of required training modules during orientation and annually

• Campus is nicotine-free
• Expected to work some holidays in rotation with staff
• Must reside within a 60-mile radius of the facility

• RTO must be approved prior to assignment start, with preference for no RTO during the first weeks
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former Centra employees must be separated from the health system for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• Floating assignments comply with Joint Commission standards, including proper orientation to new units
