American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Night Shift RN for an Intermediate Care (IMC) unit with telemetry skills. The role floats between IMC, Ortho, and Rehab, supporting hip fractures, AKI, pneumonia, and other medical-surgical cases.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of recent RN experience, an active PA or Compact nursing license, BLS and NIHSS certifications, and comfort with EPIC charting. Night shifts (3x12) with some holiday coverage are required.

Qualifikationen

• Active RN license required with no license action history
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years RN experience
• 1 year charge nurse experience preferred
• Telemetry monitoring skills required (on-unit and remote)
• Experience managing cardiac dysrhythmias and rapid response situations
• IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and wound care preferred
• Respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP and chest tube management preferred
• Renal and genitourinary care including hemodialysis management preferred
• Substance withdrawal and CVA care experience preferred
• Ortho trauma and total joint replacement experience preferred

Aufgaben

• IMC unit care for hip fractures, osteomyelitis, cellulitis, AKI, pneumonia, obstructions, and general med/surg patients
• Patient ratio 1:5
• Night shift 3x12 (7p–7a)
• Every other weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Floating between IMC, Ortho, and Rehab units as needed
• May care for COVID-positive patients
• Use EPIC charting system
• Provide direct patient care across IMC, Ortho, and Rehab units as needed
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays or 1 of 2 if contract spans fewer holidays
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract
• Facility is tobacco and fragrance free
• Candidates must reside within 50 miles for local rate consideration
• Pass required EKG exam within 72 hours of signing contract
• First-time travelers may be considered
