Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Telemetry RN for a night shift in Washington, requiring neurology experience and NIHSS certification. The role involves 1:5 patient ratios in a Level II Trauma Center with Epic EMR, floating between units, and holiday coverage obligations.

Applicants must hold WA or compact RN license, BLS/ACLS/NIHSS, and provide supervisory references. Travel nursing benefits include housing and licensure assistance, with no on-call duties and 4x12 shifts.

Qualifications

• Active WA or compact RN license required at submission.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience required.
• At least 6 months of neurology experience required.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Experience with NIH Stroke Scale and neurology diagnoses required.
• Procedural sedation administration and monitoring experience required.
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required for consideration.
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Neurology/Telemetry unit within a short-term acute care, Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma teaching hospital.
• Patient ratio of 1:5.
• Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend required.
• Floating between units required.
• No on-call responsibilities.
• Uses Epic charting system.
• Provide telemetry and neurological nursing care including monitoring for stroke, craniotomy, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury patients.
• Must be willing to float to sister facilities near the contracted location.
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day).
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront prior to offer; minimal RTO is preferred.
• Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility.
• Former Providence permanent employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as travelers and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable for RNs.
• No fee for parking.
