Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks an experienced Medical Telemetry RN for a 36-hour per week night shift in Massachusetts. Must hold an active MA RN license and have prior traveler experience.

The role covers a 41-bed cardiac telemetry unit with EPIC EMR usage, 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratio, and a 13-week assignment. Must be able to interpret telemetry and manage cardiac drips; flu shot is required. Local candidates near Boston may receive housing incentives.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts RN license required
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in one location plus 2 years of experience as a traveler
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Skilled in cardiac drips, TR bands, and high-flow oxygen administration
• Primary source license verification (NURSYS and BON) required within 30 days of start

Responsibilities

• 41-bed Medical Telemetry unit specializing in cardiac care
• Patient population includes cardiac, respiratory, metabolic, psych, substance use disorder, GU, and GI cases
• Clinician to patient ratio of 1:5-6 on nights
• 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week on straight night shifts (7p-7a)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to applicable units as needed
• Uses EPIC EMR for charting
• Provide direct patient care on a busy cardiac telemetry unit
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
• Free on-site parking available for this unit
• Local candidates residing within 60 miles of Boston are accepted at a reduced rate
• RTO must be disclosed at time of consideration
