Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Telemetry position in Worcester, MA. Requires active MA RN license, 2+ years of recent nursing experience, and BLS; ACLS preferred. Epic charting experience and telemetry expertise are essential for patient care on the unit.

The role involves night shifts 3x12s (19:00-07:00), patient ratios of 1:3, and potential float to other telemetry units. Union facility with travel-ready benefits and relocation support.

Qualifications

• Active MA RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience required
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, central line, peripheral line, and PICC line care/management
• Experience with telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, rapid response/code teams
• Experience with cardiac drips, vasoactive drips, heparin protocols, and PCA management
• Pacemaker care and pre/post cardiac cath/surgery care
• Two professional references including at least one Nurse Manager or higher

Responsibilities

• Cardiac Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Care for patients with A-Fib, pacemaker infections, CHF, CAD, and chest pain
• Maintain patient ratio of 1:3
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:00)
• Every other weekend/every other holiday required
• May float to other inpatient telemetry units as needed
• Use Epic for charting
• Provide direct patient care and monitor cardiac rhythms
• Pass/fail medication and telemetry exams during orientation (one attempt)
• Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations; must be able to work all 7 days
• Must reside within 200 miles of the facility
• Local candidates accepted at same bill rate
• 12-month separation required for previously employed staff with health system
• Up to 14 days of RTO may be submitted; none during first week
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

• Every other weekend/every other holiday required
• May float to other inpatient telemetry units as needed
• Uses Epic for charting
• Provide direct patient care within a cardiac telemetry unit, monitoring cardiac rhythms and managing related conditions
• Must complete pass/fail medication and telemetry exams during orientation, each allowing only one attempt
• Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations; must be able to work all 7 days
• Must reside within 200 miles of the facility
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• 12-month separation required for previously employed staff with the health system
• Up to 14 days of RTO may be submitted for review, though none allowed during the first week
