Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Telemetry RN with EPIC experience for a 13-week assignment in Florida.

The ideal candidate holds an active Florida or compact RN license, BLS/ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certification, with at least two years of telemetry experience in a US hospital. The role requires a day shift (3x12), every other weekend, and potential self‑alignment with local candidates within a 60‑mile radius at a reduced pay rate.

Qualifications

• Active FL or Compact RN license required in hand.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications via AHA.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required.
• Minimum two years of recent telemetry experience.
• Experience must be consecutive within the past 24 months in a US hospital.
• EPIC EMR experience required.
• Degree required from an accredited school or FBON-approved institution.
• Must pass a Basic Arrhythmia assessment or a dysrhythmia re-take with specified Angoff/section scores.
• Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening with fingerprint checks.

Responsibilities

• Telemetry unit duties in a hospital setting.
• Day shift with 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM-7:00 PM).
• Every other weekend; floating as needed.
• Holiday coverage required; fluctuations in patient ratios.
• Hurricane sign-up required; smoke-free facility.
• Local candidates within 60 miles may receive a reduced pay rate.
• Permanent staff must be separated for one year before traveling again.

• Minimum two years of recent telemetry experience required
• Experience must be consecutive within the past 24 months in a US hospital
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Degree required from an accredited school or FBON-approved institution
• Must pass a Basic Arrhythmia assessment, or alternatively a dysrhythmia re-take exam with a minimum 83% Angoff score, 100% in lethal rhythm section, and 83% in all other sections
• Must complete a Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening, including fingerprint-based state and federal criminal history checks and abuse registry review

• Candidates from Operation Nightingale Schools not accepted
• Compliance lab work must be completed within 72 hours of signing
• Study guides and preparation materials for the arrhythmia assessment are provided through the facility's online orientation
