Responsabilidades

• 36-bed Med-Surg/Telemetry unit within the hospital.
• Patient ratio 6:1.
• Night shift 7:00 PM–7:00 AM.
• Operate telemetry monitors, IV pumps, and other patient-care devices.
• Document charting using Meditech EMR.
• Floating to other Med-Surg/Tele units as needed.
• Wound care, blood administration, PCA/epidural management.
• Chest tube management when required.
• Collaborate with team with strong communication and dependability.
• Adapt to fast-paced environment with prioritization.

• Ability to care for telemetry patients required
• Strong physical assessment and critical thinking skills required
• Experience managing patients with multiple co-morbidities required
• Telemetry experience preferred
• Prior ortho-neuro-trauma experience preferred
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• One professional reference required

Responsibilities

• 36-bed Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit within the main tower of a hospital
• Patient ratio of 6:1
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Uses telemetry monitors, IV infusion pumps, bladder scanners, EKG, enteral feeding pumps, BiPap, vapotherms, wound vacs, PCA pumps, trapeze, vein finder, and dopplers
• Documents charting using the Meditech EMR system
• Floating to other Med-Surg/Tele units based on staffing and patient care needs
• Perform wound care and dressing changes, wound vac management, blood administration, PCA and epidural management, and chest tube management
