Job summary

I3 INFOTEK INC in Kentucky is seeking experienced Travel Registered Nurses – Surg/Ortho to provide direct nursing care to surgical and orthopedic patients. The RN will assess and monitor patients, administer medications and treatments, provide postoperative care, document clinical information, and collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

The RN will handle postoperative care, document clinical information, and support discharge planning, with 12-hour day or night

Qualifications

• Active KY RN license (unencumbered) or Compact RN license.
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience.
• Must be willing to work 48 hours/week.
• Must be available for 12-hour day or night shifts.
• Must be flexible to work weekends and holidays.
• Current certifications applicable to the assignment (e.g., BLS, ACLS, NIHSS).
• EMR experience such as EPIC, Meditech, or other systems.
• Complete travel assignment history required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to surgical and orthopedic patients.
• Monitor patient condition and identify changes requiring intervention.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
• Monitor pain, wounds, mobility, and recovery needs as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Communicate patient changes to physicians and healthcare team members.
• Assist with patient education and discharge planning.
• Follow hospital safety and infection-control procedures.

• Verification of completed travel assignments or explanation of incomplete assignments.
