Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a Travel RN for a 13-week assignment in Cedar Rapids, IA, to work in the PCU/Stepdown unit. The traveler will cover 12-hour night shifts, with focus on monitoring, medications, and patient education for cardiac patients.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets telemetry data and vital signs to detect abnormalities and respond appropriately.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with focus on cardiac care.
• Prepares equipment and assists physicians during cardiac procedures.
• Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients.
• Documents patient status and notifies the team of changes in cardiac condition.
• Initiates patient education plans focusing on cardiac health and risk factors.
