Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU (Progressive Care Unit) for a Council Bluffs, IA assignment. This travel role requires a Stepdown RN with at least one year of recent experience and active RN licensure, plus BLS and ACLS.

Position details include an 18-week assignment, 36 hours per week, nights on a 12-hour shift. Benefits and competitive pay are provided, with support from a dedicated clinical team.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

Responsibilities

• Monitors telemetry data, cardiac rhythms and vitals; responds to abnormalities.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments per nursing protocols.
• Assists physicians during cardiac-related procedures and examinations.
• Initiates patient education on cardiac health and discharge plans.
• Documents nursing history and assessments for telemetry patients.
• Collaborates with the care team to ensure safe, patient-centered telemetry care.
