Job summary

TalentBurst in Utah is seeking a Travel RN for Outpatient Surgery in Salt Lake City on a Day Shift. This 13-week assignment starts late September and is onsite in the Same Day Surgery unit.

The role includes 12-hour shifts, three days per week, with start times around 10:30 AM and end around 11:00 PM, offering a dynamic perioperative environment. Candidates should have recent SDS and surgical department experience, ability to start IVs, obtain vitals, and provide post-operative discharge

Qualifications

• Must have recent SDS department experience.
• Experience in Surgery Department including starting IVs, vitals, consent, and pre-op procedures.
• Experience in Post-Surgery care including discharge instructions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for surgery and ensure readiness.
• Assist in intraoperative and immediate post-operative care.
• Provide discharge instructions and coordinate with perioperative team.

• Worked in Surgery Department and are familiar with starting IV's and other things like obtaining vitals, shaving, obtaining consent, brief health history, medication and all other items related to preparing someone for surgery
• Worked in Post-Surgery care department by providing discharge instructions related to the surgical process.

Preferred or nice to have:

candidates with these skills will be considered first.

• Surgery related experience from a pre-operative and post-operative standpoint
