Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Night Shift RN for our Inpatient Acute Rehab unit in Missouri, requiring 2+ years rehab nursing experience and MO or compact RN license.

You will care for stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, and other complex cases, with patient ratios around 1:6-7 daytime and 1:8 at night, using Epic EHR. Night shift is 6:30 PM–7:00 AM, every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Missouri or compact license.
• BLS (CPR) certification required, AHA certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
• RN certification/education required.
• CRRN certification preferred.
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months.
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting across floors 1, 2, and Garden/Lower Level.
• Specializes in care for stroke, brain/spinal-cord injury, amputation, multiple trauma, cancer, and complex orthopedic patients.
• 81 private rooms with adult patient population aged 18+.
• Patient ratios approximately 1:6-7 during day and 1:8 at night, with each nurse supported by a dedicated tech.
• Night shift schedule from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Every other weekend requirement.
• Floating required within 5 units: Stroke, Comprehensive, Medically Complex, Brain Injury, and Spinal Cord Injury.
• Uses Epic EHR system
• Provide direct patient care within an inpatient acute rehabilitation unit specializing in stroke, brain injury, and spinal cord injury recovery
• Report to the Charge Nurse upon arrival each shift
• Black scrubs required along with agency-provided ID badge
• Report time is 6:30 PM with parking available in the garage (upper level or back two rows of lower level)
• Must comply with facility's seasonal influenza vaccination policy or provide an approved medical/religious exemption with required masking during flu season (November 1 - March 31)
• Permanent residence must be more than 60 miles from the facility
• Local candidates may be considered at a reduced rate
