American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Night Shift RN for an inpatient rehabilitation unit in Wisconsin. The ideal candidate holds an active WI or compact RN license, with med-surg or inpatient rehab experience and BLS certification.

The role requires 12-hour night shifts, weekend/holiday rotations, and a commitment to high-acuity inpatient care in a 50-bed facility. Attendance policies apply and travel housing allowances may be provided.

Responsibilities

• Work in a free-standing 50-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital.
• Unit focuses on stroke, brain and spinal injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic injuries.
• Adult inpatient rehabilitation with high acuity needs; patient ratio 1:7.
• Use mobility equipment (ceiling lifts, Sara Stedy, Sara Plus, slide boards).
• Charts in EPIC EMR.
• 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM; every other weekend/holiday rotations.

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for an Inpatient Rehabilitation unit requiring WI or compact RN license and med-surg or inpatient rehab experience.

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required (AHA certifications required)
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in skilled nursing or other 24/7 skilled care environment required
• 2+ years of overall nursing experience preferred
• Med-surg or inpatient rehabilitation experience related to patient acuity strongly preferred
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Work in a free-standing 50-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital
• Unit specializes in stroke, brain and spinal-cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic injuries
• Adult patient population requiring inpatient rehabilitation services with high acuity needs
• Patient ratio of 1:7
• Uses mobility equipment including ceiling lifts, Sara Stedy, Sara Plus, and slide boards
• Uses vital machines, EKG machine, and BGM
• Charts in EPIC EMR
• 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend and holiday rotations required
• On-call requirements apply
• No current floating requirement, though floating to a satellite IRF facility within 20 minutes may be required in the future
• Unit functions similarly to a medical-surgical unit and can experience high patient acuity
• All nurses are expected to assist CNAs and respond to call lights for patient safety
• Mandatory 30-minute unpaid break each shift, with two additional paid 15-minute breaks
• Staff are not permitted to stay past shift end time without house supervisor approval
• Candidates must adhere to facility attendance and tardiness policies
• Permanent residence must be more than 60 miles from the facility
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time
• Local candidates are not accepted
