Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks a Pediatric Infusion RN with a CT or compact license and at least 3 years of pediatric oncology/infusion experience for an outpatient hospital-based role.

The role is in an outpatient infusion center within a hospital with a Level I Trauma Center, academic medical setting and 1000+ beds. Schedule includes weekdays with occasional weekend shifts; Epic charting is used for documentation; travel and benefits are provided.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient infusion center setting within a hospital
• Pediatric population including oncology diagnoses and other infusion needs
• Typical patient ratio 1:4-5
• Mon-Fri 8:00am-4:30pm with occasional 4-hour weekend shifts
• 4x9 schedule option 7:45am-5:15pm available
• Uses Epic for charting
• Level I Trauma Center with 1000+ beds
• Handle IV therapy, port access, chemotherapy, oncologic emergencies

Job description

American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Infusion RN with a CT or compact license and at least 3 years of pediatric oncology/infusion experience for an outpatient hospital-based role.

Requirements

• Active CT or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of pediatric infusion/oncology nursing experience required
• Preferred certifications include ACLS, APHON, Chemo (ONS/ONCC), CPHON, CPON, OCN, and PALS
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Large trauma center experience required
• One professional reference required

Responsibilities

• Outpatient infusion center setting within a hospital
• Pediatric population including oncology diagnoses, bleeding disorders, and other conditions requiring infusion therapy
• Typical patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm with occasional 4-hour weekend shifts
• 4x9 schedule option available (7:45am-5:15pm)
• Uses Epic for charting
• Facility is a Level I Trauma Center and academic medical center with 1000+ beds
• Responsibilities include IV therapy, port access and management, chemotherapy administration, and management of oncologic emergencies
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required unless religious or medical exemption applies
• Local candidates not accepted unless within a waived radius for this specific assignment
• Returning staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be eligible as a travamsveler
• Up to 7 days of RTO can be auto-approved
• No holiday RTO permitted for this assignment
• Maximum of 5 days RTO allowed for this specific contract
• First-time travelers with strong clinical oncology experience will be considered
