Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Pediatric/Neonatal Critical Care Transport RN for a night shift in the Seattle area. Requires WA RN license, BLS/NRP/PALS, and ground transport experience. Epic EMR familiarity is needed; 3x12-hour nights with every other weekend. Travel and isolation precautions knowledge preferred, with holiday coverage as required.

The role involves working with a Transport Team and may float to NICU/PICU/Peds units. Local candidates may be accepted at a lower rate.

Qualifications

• Active WA or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration.
• Minimum 1 year of experience required.
• Ground transportation experience required.
• Charge nurse experience preferred.
• Pediatric dosage calculation skills.

Responsibilities

• Peds/Neonatal Critical Care Transport role supporting ground transportation for infants and pediatric patients.
• Works alongside a transport team including respiratory therapists and advanced practice providers.
• Transports patients from surrounding hospitals, ERs, and L&D/NICU units to a higher level of care facility.
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (1900-0700).
• Every other weekend required.
• May float to NICU, PICU, or Peds units as a bedside nurse.
• Responsible for transporting critically ill infants and pediatric patients via ground transport to a higher level of care.
• Collaborates closely with respiratory therapy and advanced practice providers during transport.
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day).
• Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities as needed.
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month separation period, provided they reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility.

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric/Neonatal Critical Care Transport RN with ground transport experience and PALS/NRP certification for a night shift assignment in the Seattle area.

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Ground transportation experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Skills in respiratory care including ventilator management, ETT/NT suctioning, and tracheostomy care
• Experience with emergency medications including IV vasopressors and continuous sedation
• Pediatric dosage calculation skills
• Experience with arterial and central line management and phlebotomy
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE
• Experience interpreting and managing cardiac dysrhythmias
• NG tube insertion and management skills
• Urinary catheter insertion and management experience
