Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a NICU/PICU Respiratory Therapist for a weekends-only night shift at a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center, Teaching and Magnet hospital. Requires RRT and DC RRT licenses, BLS/PALS, and 1 year of experience with NICU/PICU and pediatric care preferred.

Responsibilities include night shifts (3x12 hours), weekends only, no on-call, and floating within NICU/PICU/CICU. Cerner EMR experience is preferred; travel experience is required.

Qualifications

• RRT and DC RRT licenses required
• BLS and PALS certifications required; NRP preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience; 3+ years for first-time travelers
• NICU/PICU experience preferred; pediatric experience preferred
• Level I Trauma experience preferred
• Prior travel experience required
• Experience with neonatal/pediatric equipment including CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BiPAP and umbilical blood gases
• Experience with medication administration including nebulized treatments and specialty meds

Responsibilities

• Provide NICU/PICU respiratory care in a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center
• Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts, 19:00-7:30
• Weekends only: Friday to Sunday; every weekend
• 3 or 4 shifts per week; 36 guaranteed hours
• Floating within NICU/PICU/CICU across ages; not to sister facilities
• Work with multidisciplinary critical care team
• Complete pre-start training modules (~20+ hours, non-billable)
• Adhere to dress code: solid color, logo-free, child-friendly scrubs
• Local candidates accepted at travel rate; returning travelers must be separated for ≥1 year

American Traveler is seeking a NICU/PICU Respiratory Therapist for a weekends-only night shift assignment at a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center, Teaching, and Magnet hospital.

Requirements

• RRT and DC RRT license required (license required if applicable)
• BLS and PALS certifications required prior to start; NRP preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience required, 3+ years recent experience strongly preferred for first-time travelers
• NICU/PICU experience preferred; pediatric experience strongly preferred
• Level I Trauma experience preferred
• Prior travel experience required
• Skills in ventilator management, ABG interpretation, high frequency oscillator, weaning from mechanical ventilation, and airway management/suctioning
• Experience with neonatal/pediatric equipment including CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BiPAP and umbilical blood gases preferred
• Experience with medication administration including nebulized treatments and specialty medications

Responsibilities

• NICU/PICU respiratory therapy role at a 323 inpatient bed facility with 70 NICU beds
• Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts, 19:00-7:30
• Weekends only - Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• Every weekend required
• 3 or 4 shifts per week, 36 guaranteed hours
• No on-call requirements
• Floating within scope required, including between NICU/PICU/CICU for all ages, but not to sister facilities
• Cerner EMR used, experience preferred
• Provide respiratory care services within a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center that is also a Teaching and Magnet hospital
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary critical care team supporting NICU and PICU patients
• Complete pre-start training modules prior to orientation, averaging 20+ hours and non-billable
• Scrubs must be solid color, logo-free, and child-friendly in appearance
• Local candidates accepted at the travel rate with no mileage restriction
• Returning travelers must have been separated from the facility for at least one year
• Minimal RTO accommodated; requests should be discussed prior to consideration
