American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric RN for a night shift contract in Missouri. Requires PALS certification, MO license, and at least 2 years of recent pediatric nursing experience in teaching or larger hospital settings.

The position includes 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 1:4–5 patient ratios, and mandatory floating across the organization. Travel and licensure reimbursements, housing allowance, and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• PALS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience.
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and administration of blood/blood products.
• Experience with pediatric dosage calculations and medication administration, including anti-seizure meds.
• Competency in respiratory care including oxygen delivery systems and suctioning.
• Experience with GI care including feedings and NG tube management.
• Ability to perform physical job functions including ambulating, reaching, and moving objects over 20 lbs.

Responsabilités

• Pediatrics unit in a hospital setting, including Pediatric MedSurg, Oncology, and Step Down populations.
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:30.
• 36 or 48 hour contracts available.
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5.
• Cerner charting system preferred.
• Mandatory floating required across the organization (including as a sitter).
• Rotating holiday and inclement weather coverage required.
• Call responsibilities required.
• Weekend work required.
• Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients across medsurg, oncology, and step-down units.
• Contacts with contagious patients in a 24/7 facility.
• Work at least 50% of holidays during the contract.
• RTO limited during orientation week.
• Travelers welcome; locals within 50 miles not eligible; 51-74 miles may be offered local rate.
• Travelers can work up to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts before a 6-month break.

• Experience with gastrointestinal care including feedings and NG tube management
• Ability to perform physical job functions including ambulating, reaching, and moving objects over 20 lbs

Responsibilities

• Pediatrics unit in a hospital setting, including Pediatric MedSurg, Pediatric Oncology, and Pediatric Step Down populations
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:30
• 36 or 48 hour contracts available
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5

• Mandatory floating required, including coverage as a Patient Observer (sitter) anywhere in the organization
• Rotating holiday and inclement weather coverage required
• Call responsibilities required
• Weekend work required
• Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients across medsurg, oncology, and step-down units
• Routine contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses in a 24/7 healthcare facility
• Required to work at least 50% of holidays occurring during the contract
• Maximum RTO of 10 days, with none permitted during the first week due to orientation
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted, though those residing within 50 miles are not eligible, and those within 51-74 miles may be offered at a local rate
• Travelers can work up to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts before a mandatory 6-month break is required before returning in an agency capacity
