American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse for Pediatric ICU/Advanced Care with an active Illinois license and PALS certification.

The role requires BLS/ACLS/PALS, 3+ years of pediatric nursing, ASN with BSN preferred, and Epic EMR experience. The position is on-site in Illinois with a 3-day workweek, weekends and holidays rotation, and opportunities for housing and travel reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Active IL RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted).
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association).
• Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience.
• ASN required, BSN preferred.
• Epic EMR charting experience required.

Responsabilités

• Work in the Pediatric Unit covering PICU, Pediatric Advanced Care, and Pediatric Med/Surg patients.
• Day shift schedule, 07:00-19:30, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly.
• Requires every other weekend and every other holiday coverage.
• Performs dressing changes, catheter insertions, IV starts, and medication administration via bar code scanning.
• Monitors intake and output and reports high alert lab results to providers.
• Uses Epic EMR for charting.
• Collaborate with Pediatric Intensivists and Pediatric Hospitalists on patient care.
• Perform initial assessments and develop individualized plans of care based on patient and family needs.
• Act as a mandated reporter for suspected abuse or neglect cases.
• Engage in bedside report, whiteboard updates, and hourly rounding to ensure strong communication with patients and families.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure quality outcomes.

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Returning contingent workers must take a 6-month break after 1 year of continuous assignment before returning to this health system
