Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Stepdown RN for a 13-week assignment in Atlanta, GA. This role supports patients transitioning from ICU to medical-surgical units, with 12-hour day shifts and 36 hours per week.

The incumbent will monitor telemetry, administer medications, collaborate with the care team, and ensure patient safety while enjoying competitive pay, day-one benefits, and dedicated clinical support.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
• Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Preferred PCCN Certification
• NIHSS Certification
• Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with focus on cardiac care
• Prepares equipment and aids physician during cardiac-related procedures
• Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients
• Documents nursing history and physical assessment for telemetry patients
• Initiates patient education plans focusing on cardiac health and lifestyle changes
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for telemetry patients
• Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of practice
• Adheres to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
