Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU – Progressive Care Unit for a 14-week assignment in Atlanta, GA. Start date 10/04/2026. Work is 12-hour days, 48 hours per week in a busy Stepdown/telemetry unit.

You will join a dedicated clinical team, with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits, while supporting patients across a high-acuity stepdown unit in the Atlanta area. Required: 1 year of Stepdown RN experience, active RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications; preferred

Qualifications

One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

Responsibilities

Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data and responds to abnormalities
Administers prescribed medications and treatments with focus on cardiac care
Prepares equipment and assists physicians during cardiac-related procedures
Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients
Documents nursing history and physical assessment for telemetry patients
Initiates patient education plans focusing on cardiac health and risk factors
Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive telemetry care
Adheres to hospital safety protocols and infection control guidelines
Performs other duties as assigned within scope of practice
