Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a PCU RN for a travel assignment in Saint Louis, MO. This 12-hour night shift role requires 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and ACLS/BLS certifications. The PCU nurse provides meticulous bedside care, monitors cardiac and other vitals, and participates in medication administration.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• 2 years recent acute care experience.
• 1–2 years PCU or step-down experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust equipment; interpret and record electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action when monitoring shows adverse symptoms.
