Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel PCU RN for a 13-week assignment in Saint Louis, Missouri. The role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience, with 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift as a travel nurse.

The PCU nurse will monitor cardiac and other vital signs, operate related equipment, and provide timely interventions as needed. ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications are expected, with additional certifications potentially required before starting.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications required; additional certifications may be needed before starting the assignment.
• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience preferred.
• Travel RN experience or willingness to travel is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust equipment; interpret electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action when monitoring shows adverse symptoms.
