Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU (Progressive Care Unit) for a travel nursing job in Saint Louis, Missouri. This 13-week assignment requires 48 hours per week with 12-hour night shifts, starting 10/26/2026, in the PCU/step-down setting.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of recent acute care experience and certifications including ACLS and BLS. The role involves monitoring, medication administration, IV start, and patient assessment in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience required.
• PCU/step-down experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications with reporting of adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust equipment and interpret electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action when monitoring shows adverse symptoms.
