Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an RN for PACU in Indiana with at least 2 years in PACU and Epic proficiency. The role includes 12-hour day shifts 7:00 AM–7:30 PM, three days weekly, in a hospital setting.

Active IN or compact RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and a nursing diploma or ASN are required. On-call nights and weekends, and use of Epic EMR are part of the responsibilities, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Active IN or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of PACU RN experience
• Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required

Responsibilities

• Work in the PACU/PreOp unit of a hospital setting
• 12-hour day shifts scheduled 7:00 AM-7:30 PM, three days per week
• On-call responsibilities required one night per week and on weekends
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation for a group of patients
• Provides patient and family education specific to care needs and discharge planning
• Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and functions as a mentor/preceptor
• Participates in quality, safety, and service improvement efforts within a Practice Governance model
