American Traveler is seeking a PACU RN for a Level 3 Trauma Center in Sioux City, IA. Active IA or compact RN license required, with 2+ years PACU experience and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. The role features 12-hour day shifts, 50+ mile residency requirement, and Epic EMR usage.

Travelers may be floated within the discipline; on-call weekends and nights are required. Housing and licensure reimbursements are offered, with travel benefits and performance incentives.

Formación

• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• PACU skills checklist required.
• One supervisory reference or evaluation within the last two years.

Responsabilidades

• Post Anesthesia Care Unit setting within a Level 3 Trauma Center.
• Patient ratio 1:2.
• 12-hour day shifts, start between 6:30am and 10am.
• Every third weekend on-call, 12–24 hours; 2–4 on-call nights weekly.
• May float to ICU; travelers will not care for ICU patients; serve as resource.
• May float within same discipline across local campuses.
• Uses Epic EMR.
• Contribute professional nursing knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility.
• Past UnityPoint Health employees are ineligible to work travel assignments in another market within 12 months of separation.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required

• Skills checklist specific to PACU required
• One supervisory reference or performance evaluation completed within the last two years required

Responsibilities

• Post Anesthesia Care Unit setting within a Level 3 Trauma Center
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• 12-hour day shifts, generally starting between 6:30am-10am
• Every third weekend on-call, either 12 or 24 hours, with potential 2-4 on-call nights weekly
• May be required to float to the ICU, cross-training available, but travelers will not take ICU patients and will serve as a resource instead
• May be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses
• Uses Epic EMR
• Contribute professional and clinical nursing knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary care team
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN float pool) are ineligible to work travel assignments in another market within 12 months of separation
