Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU travel assignment in Sioux City, IA. Active IA or Compact license and 2+ years of critical care experience are required, with TNCC preferred if extending.

You’ll work 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM), 36 hours per week, and may float within the same discipline across local campuses using Epic EMR. The role includes inpatient trauma/cardiac/neuro coverage, weekend requirements every third weekend, and no on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Active RN license IA or Compact.
• Minimum 2 years ICU experience.
• TNCC preferred; required if extending.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military accepted).
• Valid driver's license.
• One supervisory reference within past 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Level 3 Trauma Center ICU setting.
• Care for cardiac, trauma and neuro patients.
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM–7:00 PM; 36 hours per week.
• Every third weekend required; no on-call.
• May float within the same discipline across local campuses.
• Use Epic EMR; collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
• Work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day).
• Limited to 1 day-off request during specified holiday windows.
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles away; no locals.
• First-time travelers are welcome.
• Past UnityPoint Health employees may have restrictions.

• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
