Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring ACLS certification and on-call availability.

PACU unit care and 13-week assignment with a 09:00-21:30 shift schedule; on-call requirements include weeknights, weekends, evenings, and holidays. Local candidates in select states may be considered.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in IN or Compact.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Minimum of 1 year of PACU nursing experience.
• License verification must be dated within 30 days of start, with Nursys verification for RNs.

Responsibilities

• PACU unit within a hospital setting.
• 13-week assignment with a 09:00-21:30 shift schedule.
• Requires 4 weeknight call shifts per month.
• Requires 1 weekend of day call monthly and 1 weekend of night shift call every 6 weeks.
• Requires 1 evening and day-after-holiday shift plus 1 holiday call shift.
• Provide post-anesthesia recovery care to patients in the PACU.
• Radius rule of 60 miles applies for most Trinity Health locations, with exceptions of 90 miles for MercyOne (IA) and Genesis (IA & IL), 50 miles for St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center (NY), and 75 miles for St. Peter's Health Partners (NY).
• Local candidates accepted in select states (CA, CT, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, MD, MA, MI, NC, NE, NY, OH, OR, PA), excluding MercyOne (IA), Genesis (IA & IL), St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center (NY), and St. Peter's Health Partners (NY)
