Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU/Preop position in a 47-bed acute care facility serving Northern New Mexico. The role combines PACU and Preop duties with a nurse staff of 3 beds and patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2.

The position requires active RN licensure in NM or a compact state, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and a minimum of 2 years of RN experience including PACU. On-call nights and weekends with a 30-minute response time are included.

Qualifications

• Active RN license NM or Compact.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Minimum 2 years RN experience required.
• Prior PACU experience required.
• Preop experience preferred in addition to PACU experience.
• Residence 60 miles or greater from facility for travel rate eligibility.
• Active Nursys licensure verification required at time of consideration.

Responsibilities

• Provide perianesthesia nursing care in a 47-bed acute care facility.
• Shared PACU/Preop role with 3 beds and patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2.
• Day shift 6:30 AM–3:00 PM; every other weekend.
• On-call coverage for nights and weekends with 30-minute response time.
• No floating outside the shared PACU/Preop role.
• Care for primarily adult patients with ENT cases about once a month.
• Use CQI and Medhost EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Acute care hospital setting in the Operating Room department, 3rd floor
• Shared PACU/Preop role with 3 beds and patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
• Primarily adult patient population with ENT cases approximately once a month
• Common diagnoses include appendectomy and gallbladder procedures
• Uses CQI and Medhost EHR systems
• Day shift schedule from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM with every other weekend required
• On-call coverage required for nights and weekends with a 30-minute response time once notified of a case
• No floating required outside of the shared PACU/Preop role
• Provide perianesthesia nursing care in a 47-bed acute care facility serving as a major healthcare provider for Northern New Mexico
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
• Open‑toed shoes and fake fingernails are not permitted
