Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU role at a Level 3 Trauma Center. The position requires pre-op and post-op recovery experience and an active RN license in GA or a compact state.

Responsibilities include working in a 14-bed Same Day Surgery/PACU unit, documenting in Meditech, and adhering to a 7:30 AM–6:00 PM schedule with on-call duties. Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility.

Qualifications

• Active RN license GA or compact required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Minimum 1 year recent pre-operative and post-operative experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-op and post-op recovery care in the PACU.
• Manage 14-bed unit with patient ratios of 2-3:1 post-op and 1-2:1 pre-op.
• Document care in Meditech.
• Work 7:30 AM–6:00 PM with on-call responsibilities.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring pre-op and post-op recovery experience at a Level 3 Trauma Center.

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or compact) required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 1 year of recent pre-operative and post-operative experience required
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Responsibilities

• Work in the Same Day Surgery/PACU unit handling pre-op and post-op recovery care, not OR Circulator duties
• 14-bed unit with patient ratios of 2-3:1 post-op and 1-2:1 pre-op based on acuity
• Supported by 1 full-time PCT
• Uses bladder scanner, vein finder, and EKG machine
• Documentation completed in Meditech
• Schedule is 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM with on-call responsibilities
• Required to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees
• Floats within Surgical Services as needed, otherwise per facility policy
• Perform IV starts, basic IV infusions, foley insertion, and EKGs
• Complete pediatric and neuro post-operative competency training on-site
• Follows AIDET patient experience standards
• Facility is a Level 3 Trauma Center
• Required dress code: ceil blue scrub top and bottom
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
