Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Preop RN for an 8-week Same Day Surgery assignment in Colorado. Requires CO or compact RN license and at least 1 year of specialty experience. Day shift 4x9s, 0530-1500, 36 hours/week.

Active BLS and ACLS required; Epic charting experience preferred. DOB and last 4 digits of SSN needed for consideration. Travel assignment terms apply.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in CO or compact
• Current BLS certification through American Heart Association
• ACLS certification required, must not expire before start date
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the specialty required
• Epic charting experience required
• DOB and last 4 of SSN required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Same Day Surgery unit setting
• 8-week assignment length
• Day shift 4x9s, 0530-1500
• 36 hours per week
• No call requirement
• No holiday coverage required
• May float to other departments within scope of competency
• Performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care
• Provides health teaching, counseling, and supportive therapy to patients
• Documents care per hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Refers patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed
• Promotes mission, vision, and values of the health system
• Former permanent staff must be separated from Intermountain facility for at least one year before eligibility for a travel assignment
