Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Oncology unit in Colorado, requiring a CO or compact RN license and at least 1 year of oncology experience. The role uses Epic EMR and offers a 12-hour night shift, 36 hours per week, with potential float and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Active CO or compact RN license required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association, must not expire prior to start.
• ACLS, NRP, or PALS certification as appropriate for the unit.
• Chemotherapy certification and oncology nursing certification preferred.
• ASN required, BSN preferred.
• 1 year of oncology nursing experience required.
• Epic EMR charting experience required.
• DOB and last 4 of SSN required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Works in the Med Surg 3 unit caring for oncology patients
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, 3 days per week
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
• May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
• Uses Epic charting system
• Performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care while performing health teaching and counseling
• Provides therapy and treatment supportive and restorative to patient life and well-being
• Documents care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans and refers patients as needed
• Permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before eligibility for a travel assignment
• RTO requests will be reviewed as applicants come in
