Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric OR RN Perioperative Circulator for assignments requiring Level I trauma pediatric OR experience and an Oklahoma RN license (compact or state). The role involves rotating day shifts, on-call duties, and travel-related requirements to start promptly.

You will operate in a hospital pediatric OR, document care, and ensure adherence to perioperative nursing standards. Candidates must have an RN license, BLS, 1 year OR experience, and CNOR preferred; BSN

Qualifications

• Active Oklahoma RN license (state board or compact).
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• Minimum 1 year of OR experience in an acute setting.
• CNOR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care in a pediatric operating room within a hospital.
• Rotate 3x12 hour day shifts (36 hours/week) and be on-call for nights, weekends, holidays.
• Plan, coordinate, deliver and evaluate nursing care for operative or invasive procedures.
• Document and evaluate perioperative patient care using the nursing process.
• Ensure care is individualized by patient health status, age and procedure.

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Minimum of one year of experience in an acute operating room setting
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required, BSN preferred
• Strong knowledge of AORN standards and perioperative nursing practices
• CNOR certification preferred
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible

Responsibilities

• Pediatric Operating Room unit within a hospital setting
• Rotating day shifts with 3x12-hour schedule totaling 36 hours per week
• On-call responsibilities for nights, weekends, and holidays
• Overtime availability as needed
• Level I trauma experience in pediatrics required
• Plan, coordinate, deliver, and evaluate nursing care for patients undergoing operative or invasive procedures
• Provide direct and indirect professional nursing care in the operating room
• Document and evaluate all aspects of perioperative patient care using the nursing process
• Individualize care based on patient health status, age, and procedure type
• Facility strictly enforces compliance deadlines, requiring onboarding steps to begin immediately upon offer
• Travelers must be booked at least 4 weeks prior to start date to meet compliance requirements
• Returning travelers may extend a contract only once up to 26 weeks total, then must have a 6-month separation before reapplying
