Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Operating Room Circulator position requiring Level I trauma experience and at least one year of acute OR experience.

Details

• Work in the Pediatric OR unit of a hospital setting
• Perioperative circulator role providing direct and indirect nursing care to patients undergoing operative or invasive procedures
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Schedule includes Monday through Wednesday and every other Thursday, 6:30pm to 6:30am

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact eNLC) required
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Minimum of one year of experience in an acute operating room environment
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required, BSN preferred
• CNOR certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of AORN Standards and perioperative nursing practices
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Additional Information

• Plan, coordinate, deliver, and evaluate nursing care for patients whose protective reflexes or self-care abilities may be compromised during surgery or invasive procedures
• Individualize patient care based on health status, age, and procedure type
• Document and evaluate all components of perioperative patient care using the nursing process
• Work collaboratively as part of a specialized surgical care team
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted
• Returning travelers may extend once for a total of 26 weeks, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying
• Facility enforces strict compliance deadlines; onboarding and clearance must be completed on schedule with no push starts allowed
