Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an RNFA for an Operating Room assignment in California. The ideal candidate will have an active CA RN license, 2+ years of OR experience, BLS and ACLS, and be willing to travel.

No BSN required; driver’s license and two professional references are needed for consideration. The role involves a 7-suite OR with 15-20 cases daily across orthopedic, general, gyn and pediatric cases. Cardiac cases are not assigned to travelers.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required; standard or compact accepted.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required.
• Travel experience preferred.
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration.
• Two professional references: one supervisor within 12 months, one peer/supervisor within 3 years.
• BSN not required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Acute care setting within a 7-suite OR handling 15-20 cases per day.
• Common case types include orthopedics, general, gyn, peds, and eye cases.
• Cardiac cases performed but travelers will not be assigned to these.
• 8-hour day shifts with variable start times set by the manager.
• Uses Cerner Surginet EMR and Philips telemetry equipment.
• Scrubbing is preferred but not required for RNs.
• Charge nurse coverage available but not 24/7.
• Respiratory Therapy and pharmacy available 24/7; after-hours Marian for needs.
• No floating required.
• One weekend of call per month required; one call night per week with 30-minute response.
• Only required to work holidays in emergencies.
• Provide first assist support for orthopedic, general, gyn, peds, and eye cases.
• Scrubs provided by the facility; orientation varies by skillset.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
