American Traveler is hiring an RN First Assist for a Day shift Operating Room position requiring CNOR certification and CA RN licensure.

Responsibilities include functioning as the first assistant to the surgeon under physician supervision, with 8- or 10-hour day shifts starting at 0630 and alternating weekends. Agency staff must be W-2 employees of their respective agency, with benefits and professional development options available.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification required.
• RNFA certification required.

• Operating Room and Labor and Delivery Suite setting.
• Functions as first assistant to the surgeon under physician supervision.

• Med/Surg and Critical Care RN staff required to float as needed.
• Renders direct patient care as part of the perioperative role.
• Practices an expanded role of perioperative nursing acquired through organized instruction and supervised practice.
