Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with at least 5 years of acute care OR experience for a fast-paced 12-room surgical suite in South Carolina. The role requires an SC or compact RN license, BLS, and the ability to work a 4x10 hour day shift.

You will join a Level 3 trauma center with Epic charting, a travel-friendly team, and generous housing allowance plus per diem; candidates outside 60 miles are prioritized. First-time travelers considered.

Qualifications

• Active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license required.
• BLS certification required (AHA only).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an acute care operating room setting.
• Broad OR experience across general, neuro, ortho, ENT, and GYN.
• Radiation badge required (to be provided by agency).
• Driver's license and SSN required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Operating Room with 12 ORs in a Level 3 trauma center.
• Day shift schedule 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• No floating between service lines or to sister facilities.
• On-call: 2 late calls until 11 PM per week and every 3rd-4th weekend.
• Uses Epic charting system.
• Scrubs provided by facility.
• First-time travelers accepted if broad specialty competency.
• Travelers must be separated from health system for 1 year before returning.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an acute care operating room setting
• Well-rounded OR experience required, including general, neuro, ortho, ENT, and GYN specialties
• Radiation badge required, to be provided by the agency
• Driver's license and SSN required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Level 3 trauma center Operating Room with 12 ORs
• Day shift schedule of 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• No floating between service lines or to sister facilities
• On-call required: 2 late calls until 11pm per week plus every 3rd-4th weekend
• Uses Epic charting system
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Facility is a Level 3 trauma center with 276 staffed beds
• First-time travelers accepted if they possess a broad scope of specialty competency
• Previous permanent or PRN staff must be separated from the health system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Non-local candidates are prioritized; a 60-mile radius rule applies and local candidates are not accepted
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration and is subject to facility approval
• Block scheduling may be accommodated with manager approval based on unit needs
• Employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season, which runs June through November
