Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks a CVOR RN for a high-acuity academic medical center in Seattle, WA. The traveler will bring 3–4 years of CVOR and cardiac circulating experience, with required BLS and preferred ACLS.

Epic charting is essential; prior travel experience is a plus. Da Vinci robotics experience and familiarity with CABG, valve replacements, TAVR, and VAD procedures are advantageous. This position features a day shift (4x10s) with weekend/on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Active WA or compact RN license required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• 3-4 years of CVOR RN experience with cardiac circulating required.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Community hospital experience preferred.
• Strong CVOR experience required; previous travel experience preferred.
• Experience with cardiovascular skills including CABG, valve replacement, TAVR, VAD, and related procedures.
• Da Vinci and Da Vinci Xi robotic surgery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Works in the CVOR unit of an academic teaching hospital.
• 28 operating rooms with average daily census of 50-75.
• Patient population includes orthopedic sports, minimally invasive arthroscopic and laparoscopic cases, robotics, general, GYN, urology, and plastics procedures.
• Experience with neuro, spine, thoracic, and vascular cases is a plus.
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours from 0645-1715.
• Weekend coverage required on an as-needed basis.
• Cardiac call obligation required: 3 weeknight call shifts per 4-week schedule plus 2 24-hour weekend call shifts per month (5 total call shifts).
• Floating within the hospital required, including to other specialties during slower periods.
• No floating to sister hospitals.
• Uses Epic charting system.
• Works in a Magnet-designated academic teaching hospital with 637 staffed beds.
• Scrubs provided for OR personnel in any color.
• COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions.
• First-time travelers will be considered with strong CVOR experience.
• Prior UW staff must have 18 months of separation before returning as a traveler.
• RTO should be kept to a minimum and cannot be requested during orientation week, with a maximum of 1 week.
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no mile radius restriction.
