Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVOR RN with at least 1 year of acute care cardiovascular OR experience and an active FL or compact RN license. The role requires BLS; ACLS is preferred and EPIC charting experience is required.

The position works in the CVOR unit of a hospital setting on a 4x10 hour day shift (Mon-Fri, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM) with on-call, weekend duties, and travel-friendly benefits including a housing allowance and licensure reimbursements.

Qualifications

• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 1 year of acute care CVOR experience required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Flu vaccine required 10/31-3/31 with medical or religious exemptions only

Responsibilities

• Work in the CVOR unit of a hospital setting
• 1:1 patient ratios
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, Monday-Friday 7:00 AM-5:00 PM
• Procedures include percutaneous coronary angioplasty, CABG, pacemaker placement, heart valve replacement, peripheral vascular bypass, AV fistula creation/revision/removal, lobectomy, and ventricular shunt insertion/replacement/removal
• Weekend requirement of every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period
• On-call responsibilities required
• Floating required
• Uses EPIC for documentation
• Provide direct patient care in a cardiovascular operating room setting handling a range of complex cardiac, vascular, and thoracic procedures
• Call, holiday, and hurricane coverage requirements apply with days off to be determined
• Scrubs must be solid color with matching tops and bottoms, no logos or prints; self-provided or facility-provided options available
• Finalized RTO must be submitted at the time of consideration and will not be accepted after an offer is made
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers with no radius restriction
• Former employees or contract staff must be separated from the facility for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Travel pairs are permitted with unit leader approval, though matching schedules are not guaranteed
• Contracted hours are guaranteed
