Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Travel RN for a CVOR position in Las Vegas, NV. The ideal candidate holds an active NV RN license and has at least two years of cardiovascular surgery experience, with pediatric experience preferred.

You will work in a hospital CVOR with a 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM schedule, weekend rotations, and on-call shifts. The unit uses Meditech EMR and provides scrubs, housing support, and travel/licensure reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Active NV RN license required.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
• Minimum 2 years of cardiovascular OR experience.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration.
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Work in the CVOR Surgery unit of a hospital with 4 dedicated CVOR suites among 23 total ORs.
• Features one hybrid OR room.
• Cares for cardiovascular surgical patients at a 1:1 nursing ratio.
• Day shift team includes RN, CST, CFA, and charge nurse while night shift includes in-house trauma and call teams.
• Typical procedures include CABG, valve surgery, TAVR, and vascular/thoracic surgery.
• Uses Meditech EMR.
• Scheduled shift is 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM with weekend rotation.
• On-call requirements include 2 on-call shifts per week and 1 on-call weekend per month.
• No floating required.
• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity cardiovascular surgical environment.
• Scrubs provided by facility.
• Unit guidelines and policies reviewed during orientation.
• Scheduled the same as full-time staff to meet facility needs, which may vary week to week.
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for consideration.
