Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced CVOR RN to join a high-volume cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical service line.

The role requires at least 3 years of CVOR circulator experience and an active Texas RN license with BLS, plus verifiable travel references. The position involves 3 shifts weekly (11:00–23:30), on-call duties, and requires ability to work independently in a fast-paced OR environment across multiple cardiac procedures including CABG and TAVR.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of recent CVOR circulator experience in a high-volume hospital
• Active TX or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required (AHA)
• Verifiable references from at least two prior travel assignments confirming no training needed
• Nursys license verification within 30 days prior to start

Responsibilities

• Support a CVOR service line with 4-6 ORs including endovascular suite
• Perform routine and complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures
• Circulatory care for CABG, valve repair/replacement, aortic dissection, heart transplantation, VAD, Implants
• TAVR and endovascular procedures in endovascular OR
• Thoracic cases include laparoscopic, robot-assisted and open procedures
• Vascular procedures from ESRD grafts to endovascular interventions
• Schedule: 3 shifts weekly, 11a-11:30p; call after hours and weekends
• Travel assignment ends with extension discussions ~45 days prior

• Minimum 3 years of recent full-time experience as a CVOR circulator in a high-volume hospital setting required
• Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures required
• Must be able to function independently in a fast-paced surgical environment without extensive onboarding
• Verifiable references from at least two prior travel assignments confirming no training was needed required
• Nursys license verification within 30 days prior to start required
• Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start required

Responsibilities

• Operating Room department supporting a CVOR service line with 4-6 ORs including an endovascular suite
• Performs routine and complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures
• Cardiac procedures include CABG, valve repair/replacement, aortic dissection, heart transplantation, VAD placement, and may include Impella, IABP, or adult ECMO
• TAVR and endovascular procedures performed in the endovascular OR
• Thoracic cases include laparoscopic, robot-assisted, and open procedures
• Vascular procedures range from ESRD graft/fistula placement or revision to endovascular interventions
• Service line has capacity for four concurrent cardiopulmonary bypass procedures
• Schedule consists of 3 shifts weekly, 11a-11:30p, based on department need at time of interview
• Call coverage required after normal business hours and on weekends13-week assignment
• Candidates must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on distance from the facility
• Candidates should begin discussing extension with their manager approximately 45 days before assignment end date
• Covid vaccination is not required
