Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a CVOR RN for an academic medical center. The role requires 1 year CVOR experience and MO or Compact RN licensure, with BLS and ACLS. You will work in CVOR, on a day shift 10:30 AM–7:00 PM, with 1:3 patient ratio and call coverage about 14 shifts per month.

Candidates should have Epic charting experience; Level I Trauma center experience is preferred, with ability to float to vascular and general surgery units.

Qualifications

• Active RN license MO or Compact in hand.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 1 year CVOR experience.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Level 1/2 Trauma experience preferred.
• Teaching hospital experience preferred.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
• Vascular, cardiovascular, general, thoracic, and endoscopic skills preferred.
• Experience with equipment (cell saver, ESU, fiber optic sources, Steris) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in the CVOR unit of an academic medical center.
• Day shift 5x8 hours: 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM, Mon–Fri.
• Patient ratio 1:3; call coverage ~14 shifts per month including weekends.
• Float to Vascular and General surgery units.
• Utilize Epic charting system.
• Provide perioperative nursing care for CVOR procedures.
• Work in a Level I academic trauma center.

American Traveler is hiring a CVOR RN for a research and academic medical center, requiring 1 year of CVOR experience and MO or compact RN licensure.

• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS required; CNOR and TNCC preferred
• Minimum 1 year of CVOR experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Level 1 Trauma and Level 2 Trauma experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Skills in vascular, cardiovascular, general, thoracic, and endoscopic surgical procedures preferred
• Experience with equipment such as cell saver, electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, and Steris systems

Responsibilities

• Work in the CVOR unit of an academic medical center
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Call responsibilities shared among CV staff, approximately 14 shifts per month including weekend call
• Floating required to Vascular and General surgery units
• Uses Epic charting system
• Provide perioperative nursing care in a cardiovascular operating room setting supporting complex vascular, cardiac, thoracic, and general surgical procedures
• Work within a Level I academic trauma center
• Candidates must complete required OSHA respirator fit testing prior to start, which requires shaving for a proper mask seal with no medical or religious exemptions accepted
• Candidates must reside more than 70 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply as long as the 1 year CVOR experience requirement is met
