Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Tele/Ambulatory Care RN for a night shift assignment in California. The role requires a CA RN license, BLS, and 2+ years of telemetry and ACU/PACU experience, with Epic charting experience.

This assignment includes night shifts (3x12-hour) 19:00–07:30 with rotating schedule, weekend rotations, and travel nursing experience. Local candidates are considered at local rate; housing and travel reimbursements provided.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license.
• BLS certification (AHA).
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience and ACU/PACU experience.
• Epic charting experience.
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
• Prior travel nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Ambulatory Care unit in an acute care hospital setting.
• Provides direct patient care, education, and care coordination for telemetry and ambulatory care patients.
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:30 on a rotating schedule.
• Weekend rotation required with no on-call responsibilities.
• Uses Epic charting system.
• Assess, coordinate, deliver, and evaluate holistic nursing care tailored to multiple factors.
• Foster collaborative relationships with patients, families, physicians and healthcare team members.
• Facilitate transitions of care within an acute care setting.
• Holiday coverage required for major holidays; only 1 holiday request approved per contract.
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract.
• Local candidates accepted within 50-mile radius at local rate.
• Returning employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler.
