Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room Circulator position in Kentucky. The role requires 3+ years of RN experience and the ability to independently circulate multiple surgical service lines.

You will work day shifts 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with every other weekend, on-call up to 8 days per month, and travel-rate compensation. Travel and licensure reimbursements, housing allowance, and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (KY or Compact) required.
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications.
• Minimum 3 years RN experience.
• Ability to independently circulate multiple service lines (Ortho, General Surgery, ENT, Cataracts, OB/GYN, Urology, Endoscopy).
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Circulate in OR with 6 operating rooms and 2 endoscopy suites.
• Circulator role for infant to geriatric patients; 1:1 per procedure.
• Use MedHost Periop EHR system.
• Day shift 7:00 AM–3:30 PM; every other weekend.
• On-call up to 8 days per month with 30-minute response time.
• May float within the department; circulate across service lines.
• Maintain professional demeanor; navy scrubs required.
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or more from facility for travel rate.
• Local candidates within 60 miles may be considered at local rate.
• Weekly orientation on Mondays.
• No permanent LifePoint staff in last 12 months; not employed elsewhere full time while on assignment.

• Ability to independently circulate multiple service lines including Ortho, General Surgery, ENT, Cataracts, OB/GYN, Urology, and Endoscopy
• Strong teamwork and communication skills required

Responsibilities

• Operating Room unit with 6 operating rooms and 2 endoscopy suites
• Circulator role serving infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
• 1:1 patient ratio per procedure
• Uses MedHost Periop EHR system
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• On-call requirements of up to 8 days per month, including weekends and holidays, with a 30-minute response time
• May be asked to float within the department
• Circulate surgical procedures across multiple service lines including Ortho, General Surgery, Endoscopy, and more
• Professional demeanor expected on the unit
• Must wear navy scrubs provided by the hospital; casual wear and other facility-branded attire not permitted
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Local candidates within 60 miles may be considered at the local rate
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Candidates who have worked permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
