American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for an Operating Room position in Connecticut. The ideal candidate will hold an active CT or compact RN license and have Trauma Level II experience, with travel nursing background preferred.

BLS is required, ACLS is a plus; OR experience of at least one year is expected. Responsibilities include a broad range of surgical procedures, use of Omnicell and Cerner systems for medication and documentation, and adherence to Universal

Qualifications

• Active CT or compact RN license required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room experience required.
• Trauma Level II experience required; Level I preferred.
• Travel nursing experience required.
• Experience with charting systems needed.
• Proficient in specimen handling/labeling, Universal Protocol, and catheterization.

Responsabilités

• Operate within an OR unit in a hospital setting.
• Serve adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Perform diverse surgical procedures including gynecologic, orthopedic, cardiovascular, urology, robotics, bariatric, and thoracic cases.
• Use Omnicell and Cerner for medication and documentation; apply SBAR for communication.
• Work day shifts: 6:45a–3:15p (5x8) or 6:45a–5:15p (4x10), 40 hours weekly; weekend coverage every third.
• Call required one weekday per week and one weekend per month (24-hour Sat/Sun).
• Scrubs provided; local candidates within 75 miles receive a reduced pay rate.

• Experience with any charting system required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Proficient in specimen handling/labeling, Universal Protocol (time out) procedures, and urinary bladder catheterization

Responsibilities

• Operating Room unit within a hospital setting
• Serves adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
• Performs a broad range of general, gynecological, orthopedic, plastics, neurology, cardiovascular, vascular, urology, robotic, bariatric, and thoracic surgical procedures
• Uses Omnicell medication system, Cerner documentation system, and SBAR communication method
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (6:45a-3:15p) or 4x10 hours (6:45a-5:15p), 40 hours per week
• Weekend coverage required every third weekend
• Call required one weekday per week and one weekend per month (24-hour Sat/Sun coverage)
• Scrubs provided
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this unit
• Candidates residing within 75 miles are considered local and subject to a reduced pay rate
