Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a Trauma Level II facility, with Cerner charting experience and proficiency in robotic DaVinci XI procedures.

The role requires TX licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and travel nursing experience; it offers day shift 3x12, no call, and a broad range of surgical specialties.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (TX or Compact) required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• 2-3 years of OR experience strongly preferred; 1 year minimum in profession required.
• Travel nursing experience required; teaching hospital, community hospital, and LTAC experience preferred.
• Trauma Level II experience required; Level I preferred; Cerner charting experience required.
• Experience with multiple surgical specialties including vascular, orthopedic, neuro/spine, general surgery, cardiovascular, and gynecologic procedures preferred.
• Two supervisor references from within the last 3 years required.

Responsibilities

• Operating Room unit within a hospital setting.
• Day shift schedule (3x12 hours), 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM.
• Friday through Sunday schedule with no call requirements.
• 1:1 patient ratio.
• Supports a wide range of surgical specialties including orthopedic, spine/neuro, general/gyn, ENT, ophthalmology, pain management, urology, vascular, and trauma.
• Utilizes Cerner charting system.
• 3-4 days of orientation provided.
• Provide perioperative nursing care across a broad range of surgical specialties and procedures.
• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening, including marijuana testing, with immediate cancellation for positive results.
• Candidates should avoid any substances, including CBD products, that could result in a positive drug screen.
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility as local candidates are not accepted.
• RTO must be submitted with candidate profile.
• Document compliance deadline is Tuesday at 4:30 PM CST prior to start with no exceptions.
