Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room to support the GU/ENT surgical team in Peoria, IL. Active Illinois RN licensure and current BLS are required, with a minimum of three years of nursing experience and EPIC EMR charting experience.

The role requires Level 1 Trauma center experience and rotating call; travel within the Carle Health system may be possible. The position offers a generous housing allowance, day-one benefits, and a comprehensive compensation package.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the operating room, including assessment, care planning, and nursing interventions.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation for continuity of care.
• Report and correct patient and employee safety hazards.
• Collaborate with the surgical team and contribute to peer professional development.
• May float to other Carle Health hospital locations within the system.
• Rotating evening and weekend call and rotating weekend/holiday shifts.
• Schedule consists of four 10-hour day shifts.

• Operating room setting within a surgical services unit supporting the GU/ENT team
• Schedule consists of (4) 10-hour day shifts, consecutive days in a row
• Rotating evening and weekend call required
• Rotating weekend and holiday shifts
• May float to other Carle Health hospital locations within the system
• EPIC charting experience required
• Provide direct patient care in the operating room, including assessment, care planning, and implementation of nursing interventions
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation for continuity of care
• Responsible for reporting and correcting patient and employee safety hazards
• Collaborate with the surgical team and contribute to peer professional development
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Previous Carle Health contingent workers must complete a 6-month break in service if they were on assignment for more than 1 year before returning
