Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room registered nurse with circulating experience in heavy orthopedic, urology, spine, and robotic procedures for a 13-week assignment in Illinois. The role requires an active Illinois RN license, BLS certification, and the ability to independently circulate for complex surgical cases.

You will work 10-hour days, four days a week, with call requirements and potential cross-facility coverage.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of operating room experience.
• Current BLS/BCLS certification required.
• Must be able to independently circulate for complex surgical cases.
• Verified circulating experience required prior to consideration.

Responsibilities

• Operate in OR setting within a hospital.
• Support 10-hour day shifts, 4 days per week (0800-1830).
• Occasional call: 1 weeknight and 2 weekend days per month.
• Possible float to other facilities as needed.
• Focus on orthopedic, urology, spine, and robotic procedures.
• Assess patient needs and collaborate with multidisciplinary team.
• Educate patients and families and maintain medical records.
• Contribute to continuing education and a positive work environment.
