Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position in Farmington, NM. The role requires 2+ years of OR experience and proficiency across multiple surgical specialties, with a Level III trauma center environment and 10 operating rooms.

Active NM/Compact RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS from AHA, and RN degree are required. Schedule is Sat-Mon 7A-7P with call; 36 hours weekly guaranteed, plus housing and licensure reimbursement in benefits package.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (NM or Compact) required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from American Heart Association.
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience.
• Proficiency in Neuro, Ortho, Trauma, Vascular, and OBGYN procedures.
• RN degree required.
• Must score at least 3.2 on the skills checklist.
• Comfortable supporting patients and surgeons during traumatic cases.

Responsibilities

• Level III trauma center with 10 operating rooms.
• Diverse surgical specialties including Urology, Neuro, General, GYN, Podiatry, Plastic, Ortho, Dental, and ENT.
• Patient ratio of 1:1 in the OR.
• Diverse patient population of all ages.
• Uses Cerner EHR.
• Equipment varies by OR service specialty.
• Schedule is Sat-Mon 7A-7P with variable call (4-5 shifts per month).
• 36 weekly guaranteed hours.
• Occasional weekend work required.
• Call requirements apply.
• Support surgical teams across a wide range of specialties and trauma cases.
• Facility is a Level III trauma center serving the Four Corners region of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah.
• Must be competent and confident working independently in high-acuity trauma situations
