Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a 13-week day shift assignment in a hospital serving Navajo and Hopi communities.

The role requires 3+ years of OR nursing and an active RN license from any state; CNOR, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC, BLS and ACLS are required or will be pursued after hire. Housing options may be available, and travel/licensure reimbursements are offered.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license from any US state or territory accepted.
• Minimum 2–3 years of clinical nursing and/or operating room experience.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• BLS, ACLS required; PALS within 6 months; NIHSS required.
• CNOR within 1 year; TNCC within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Operate in a hospital OR setting across multiple surgical specialties (Orthopedics, ENT, GYN/OB, General, Ophthalmology, Dental).
• Circulates and scrubs; scrubbing experience encouraged.
• Work 10-hour day shifts (6:30 am–5:00 pm), four shifts per week.
• On-call duties with short-notice emergency case preparation.

Job description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring at least 3 years of clinical and OR experience and an active RN license from any state.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license from any US state, Puerto Rico, or US territory accepted (AZ license not required)
• Minimum 2-3 years of clinical nursing and/or operating room experience required
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required within 6 months of hire
• NIHSS certification required
• CNOR certification required within 1 year of hire
• TNCC certification required within 2 years of hire

Responsibilities

• Operating Room setting within a hospital providing inpatient and outpatient surgical services
• Circulates across multiple surgical specialties including Orthopedics, ENT, GYN/OB, General, Ophthalmology, and Dental
• Scrubbing experience is highly encouraged
• 10-hour day shifts from 6:30am to 5:00pm, 4 shifts per week
• On-call responsibilities required, including preparation for emergency cases on short notice
• 13-week assignment with 36 guaranteed hours
• Provide perioperative nursing care including assessment, nursing diagnosis, intervention planning, and evaluation of patient outcomes
• Orientation occurs every 2 weeks
• COVID and flu vaccine exemptions may be accepted with a declination form
• Fingerprinting must be completed prior to start as part of the compliance process
• Limited shared housing may be available for $600/month based on availability, with no family or pets allowed
• Housing applications must be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to start date
• Facility serves a large rural referral area for the Navajo and Hopi Reservations
• First-time travelers may be considered for this role
