Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for an Operating Room position in Connecticut, requiring independent circulating experience in ortho, spine, and neuro surgeries.

Responsibilities include working in the OR, handling orthopedic/spine/neuro cases, with flexible 10-hour shifts and at least one weekend on-call per month. Scrub experience is preferred, especially in complex cases, and DaVinci robotic experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active CT or Compact RN license required.
• 4–5 years OR RN or combined OR experience required.
• Independent circulating experience in ortho, spine, and neuro surgeries required.
• Scrub experience preferred, especially in complex neuro, spine, ortho, and vascular cases.
• Experience with DaVinci robotic cases preferred.
• COVID medical/religious exemption accepted.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Operating Room Unit of a hospital environment.
• Surgical procedures include orthopedic, spine, and neurological cases.
• Variable shift start times with 10-hour day shifts.
• On-call required at least one weekend per month, including rotating weekends and holidays.
• No block scheduling; scrubs provided by facility.
• Function as part of the OR team, participating in rotation for mandatory overtime coverage as needed.
• May float to other departments, units, or facilities within 30 miles of assigned facility.
• Time off requests must be minimized and approved prior to assignment confirmation.
• Accepts local candidates; local/radius rate options.

• May float to other departments, units, or facilities within 30 miles of assigned facility

• Accepts local candidates
• Local rate applies within 75 miles; radius rate also available
